*Mommy's Obsessions received a complimentary diaper pail for review in exchange for our honest thoughts and opinions*
Today Mommy's Little Miracle is featuring a diaper pail that is revolutionizing the way we store our dirty diapers - the Ubbi World Diaper Pail!
Diapers are an essential when it comes to raising a baby, because lets face it, your baby can't be diaperless! One of my biggest pet peeves when it came to diapering Little Mister is that the dirty diaper - whether it be cloth or disposable, ALWAYS stunk up the diaper pail, which in turn stunk up the room! It was frustrating to always walk into Little Mister's room and have it have a lingering smell, so when it came time to start thinking about a diaper pail for Little Boy's room, I was determined to find something that didn't smell!

Ubbi World was generous enough to send me a diaper pail and a cloth diaper pail liner to review for the Mommy's Little Miracle event! I do have to say that Ubbi's Diaper pail was a big 'shove in the right direction' as far as choosing colors/theme for our nursery - they asked if I would be willing to review the new red pail that is an exclusive for Target, and I was happy to oblige. Because of the vibrant red pail we were being sent, I found the inspiration for Little Boy's Make Believe Nursery! So thank you for that Ubbi!
Before I even received my Ubbi Diaper Pail, the thing that really impressed me is that although the Ubbi Diaper Pail is primarily for disposable diaper use, you can totally use it with cloth diapers as well! I was smitten before it even arrived!
When the Ubbi Diaper Pail and Cloth Diaper Pail Liner arrived the first thing I noticed was that the diaper pail was smaller than what I was use to. With Little Mister I had a competitor brand diaper pail so I was use to the height on that. I was excited to open the box and really get a feel for the Ubbi Diaper Pail!
When I opened it up, the first thing I noticed was the vibrancy of the red. Whether you refer to it as fire engine or candy apple, the color of the pail is stunning and a perfect addition to any nursery that has red in it's color scheme! I love the modern and sleek look of the Ubbi Diaper Pail and the fact that it is made from steel. I was excited to see if it would hold up to the "no stink" promises that it made on the website, especially since we would be using our pail with cloth diapers!
The diaper pail has a unique closure system that truly does keep the oder of your soiled diapers, in the pail rather than in the nursery. To open the diaper pail you must first turn the lock into the unlocked position, then using the small handle, press down and slide the lid toward the back of the pail.
Once the lid is open, simply drop your solid diaper into the pail, slide the lid forward to close it, and turn the child lock to it's locked position! Of course, you can choose not to lock the lid and may not want to if your little one is not yet crawling or walking, but once they are it is quite convenient to have that locking option!
Perhaps the best feature of the Ubbi Diaper Pail is that you don't have to keep buying disposable refills for it like you would have to with other brands! If you so choose, Ubbi does offer plastic bags and cloth pail liners for you to use in your pail, otherwise you can use whatever sort of kitchen or other trash bag you'd like! Not only are you able to use whatever type of bag you would like with your Ubbi pail, but they make it very simple to load your bag and remove it from your pail when it is full!
There is even a convenient drawstring to cinch the bag as you are transporting it from your child's nursery to the laundry room!
My only complaint about the Cloth Diaper Pail Liner is that it does need to be washed separately from your cloth diapers. My cloth diaper wash cycle includes a rinse, a long wash, and an extra rinse, and after two washes with our cloth diapers, the drawstring had broken apart and come out of the liner itself. Although it is not a huge deal, at least for us, I wish the drawstring would have lasted a little longer than those two washes.
Overall I am absolutely in love with our Ubbi Diaper Pail and it makes such a perfect addition to our nursery! I got several weeks of use with the Ubbi Diaper Pail before Little Mister potty trained and Ubbi held up to its promise of "no stinks"! The nursery (thats where we had continued to change Little Misters diapers) never smelt like soiled diapers and we never had any problems with the quality of the Ubbi Diaper Pail. It makes a beautiful, modern addition to the nursery while serving a convenient purpose, and it's a fun pop of color to an otherwise simple nursery!

ReplyDeleteI'm loving the Navy blue!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the Navy blue!
ReplyDeleteWe use disposables.
ReplyDeleteI love the purple color!
ReplyDeleteCloth diapering. Only use disposables if the baby has "stomach bug!"
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the purple, but the navy blue or red will go with the baby's nursery.
ReplyDeleteI love the dark navy blue and the orange color pails equally- tough tough decision!
ReplyDeleteAll these vibrant colors are amazing! The hot pink is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteAll the vibrant colors are amazing. The hot pink is absolutely stunning. We don't have a LO just yet but we plan to CD
ReplyDeleteMix of both!
ReplyDeleteWe have been cloth diapering for 16mths! Wanted this pail but ended up getting a less expensive one. Would love to win this for now and future babies :-)
ReplyDeleteI would like to mix both cloth diapers and disposable diapers.

ReplyDeleteI am currently using disposables right now in the newborn stage and when he can fit into the one size diapers we are going to cloth diaper.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter would LOVE the purple pail! She's all about that color right now. The hot pink, light pink, or pistachio would also match her room decor.
ReplyDeleteWe plan on using disposables at the very beginning then switching to cloth after we get adjusted to this new life with our first child. Only a few more weeks to go! (Miriam Matheny)
ReplyDeleteThe red would go great in our nursery. It is mechanic/car themed (Miriam Matheny)
ReplyDeleteWe are expecting in December and are going to cloth diaper but since buying newborn cloth diapers can be a little pricey for something that lasts so short a time, we will probably use eco-friendly disposables for the first few weeks or until our cloth diapers fit our little girl! :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love the Robin's Egg Blue pail but would choose the light pink or white for my baby girl's nursery! :)
ReplyDeleteI THINK MY DAUGHTER WOULD LIKE THE AQUA ONE SINCE THEY DONT HAVE YELLOW WHICH IS THE COLOR OF THE ROOM

ReplyDeleteI love the light pink for our little girl due in November. I would choose the Pistachio because it would work for future baby boy, too. :)
ReplyDeletePurple is my favorite color, but I probably would choose colors that went better with my decor. If it were in the bathroom where my current pail (just a lidded trash can) is, I would pick pistachio to match the frogs in there. If it were in my daughter's room, I would choose light pink. If it were in my son's room, I'd go with robin's egg blue. In the downstairs bathroom, I might be able to get away with purple.

We started cloth with our first when she was 3 months and plan on using cloth only from birth with #2 due anytime! It took awhile to find a night time solution for our 1st but are now 100% cloth and loving it! These pails are so gorgeous and very functional for cloth! A planet wise liner fits PERFECT. Fingers crossed for this one!
ReplyDeleteWe would choose either the teal or the bright pink/raspberry color! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI like the white or navy blue. We use disposable diapers :)
ReplyDeleteI used sposies on my son for his first 11 months, and made the switch to cloth diapers last month. He is almost 1, I didn't realize cloth diapering is as easy as it is or I would have used them from day 1!
ReplyDeleteThe robins egg, and orange are gorgeous! But I would probably get the red because my sons theme is mickey mouse.

ReplyDeleteI plan on using disposable.
ReplyDeleteI love the navy blue pail
ReplyDeleteI think that I would really love the Navy Blue Diaper Pail! They have so many color choices!
ReplyDeleteI currently use disposable diapers, but as soon as I build up my stash I am switching (and as soon as I use up all the disposables that I have from my first daughter!)
ReplyDeleteI use cloth almost all the time. I keep disposables on hand for daddy and some outfits that cloth won't fit over.
