About Sarah Wells Breast Pump Bags
(As from their website)

"The idea for a stylish and uber-functional breast pump bag came to me in 2011 after the birth of my daughter, Maddy. Breastfeeding was really important to me, but the transition back to work and carrying a pump brought about some challenges. Everyday I schlepped a purse and my (quite ugly) pump bag; throw in an extra case for my iPad or laptop and a lunch box and I felt like a pack mule walking down the streets of Washington, DC. I just couldn't find an "all-in-one" bag that could separately store my breast pump and everything else I needed to carry.

I suppose you could put your pump equipment in your existing purse or buy a nicer tote. But will it have special breast pump pockets, keeping equipment and bottles separate from everything else, let alone lined with easy-to-clean material, all while being fashionable? This is how Sarah Wells bags were born."

The first bag introduced by Sarah Wells Breast Pump Bags is the Maddy bag! As functional as it is stylish, the Maddy measures 13" in length, 8" in width, and 11" tall, and the straps on the Maddy have an 11.5" drop! The Maddy was designed to fit most brands and models of breast pumps and although some may be to large for the convenient side pockets, they will fit comfortably in the main pocket of the Maddy bag.

Being that most pumping mommy's take their breast pumps to work with them, they need a place to keep their breast milk cold while they finish up their day at work. While some moms prefer to use the cooler that their pump may have come with, and some store their breast milk in a communal fridge at their workplace, there are some moms who just aren't comfortable with that! For those of you who prefer discretion, you're in luck! The Maddy bag has undergone testing that shows that the side pockets of the bag can keep your refrigerated breast milk cold, or begin cooling your recently pumped milk, for up to four hours when you use proper ice packs. External temperatures do affect this though so always make sure that your breast milk is stored properly! The inside of the bag is made from a light weight, wipeable lining so small spills are not a problem so long as they are cleaned up! The main compartment of the bag also features a padded pocket which is perfect for an iPad or a small laptop, as well as a zippered interior pocket for holding keys, cell phone, and much more!

Although I have not had the opportunity to get my hands on one of these pretty little pump bags, I can tell you that it is on my wish list and Mr. Hunky knows that I want it for Christmas! I think that Sarah did a fabulous job in designing a bag that has a great amount of storage solutions for pumping and working moms, and I really appreciate that the bag is a classic design and color scheme. The Sarah Wells Breast Pump Bag can not only be used for the days of pumping, but well after!

  1. I am not sure exactly how long I will be able to take before I return to work after our first LO arrives. I am hoping to manage at least 12 weeks off. I plan to breastfeed exclusively for at least the first 6 months so this will require lots of pumping at work. I love that the Maddy bag has lots of compartments for you own personal essentials not related to breastfeeding. I hate lugging yet another bag into work with me so hopefully this could replace my purse. It's so cute too!

  2. Hello! So great to see a product for pumping mamas like myself! I became an exclusively pumping mom after weeks of unsuccessful breastfeeding with my daughter. As a first time mom, I took it very hard, but realized that I could still give her the best I could by expressing for her. She is now 7 months, over the 100% for both weight & height--& overall, just a happy & thriving little girl. My goal is to continue pumping until her first birthday. Almost there! :)

  3. Our baby is due in October and I plan on doing some part-time work at some point, so I would like to be able to pump for that.

  4. I love that it is extremely stylish and functional.

  5. Very stylish bag. Love all the pockets and that you can carry a laptop. Don't think any co-workers would know that there is pump in it.

  6. Stay at home mom that exclusively breast fed for the first three months and then transitioned to the bottle. I chose not to go back to work which is a blessing for us. I know there are plenty of mothers who wish they could stay home. I would love to win this lovely bag. I think it will carry everything but the baby.

  7. I love that there is room for my electronics and they are safe. And that it is very stylish looking. I love that my options for any storage are awesome.

  8. Love how it's not just a pump bag! I have 2 under 2 with my baby 3 due so! Looks like all of our things will fit in this bag well! I love the metal feet also!

  9. I love that it is a stylish bag and that you can carry more stuff besides your pumping gear! Thanks!

  10. I love that you can fit more than your pumping gear in the bag. It is super stylish and very discreet. Thanks!

  11. I am a stay at home mom who only pumps when necessary, but my sister-in-law is a teacher who also exclusively pumps, so I'm trying to win this for her! :)

  12. I love that this bag is stylish and that it has PURPLE on the inside, but I especially love that you don't need a cooler with it and can just store your pumped milk in the side pockets! How convenient!!!! Less to carry!

  13. I plan to go back to work after 3 months and pump for as long as possible! I hope to breastfeed and pump for at least 1 year.

  14. I love how stylish and roomy it is, and it doesn't look like you're carrying around a breastpump!

  15. My little guy is three months old, so I've been pumping at work for a month now. With my older son, I stayed home with him for five months and only had a hand pump. When I went back to work, I planned to still nurse him at night, but he was too distracted.

  16. Ha, pack mule is exactly the image I feel I convey right now!

  17. I love that the side pockets can be used to keep the breast milk cold. I don't have a problem using a separate cooler or the communal fridge, but half the days I leave my lunch cooler at work so I can't imagine I would remember a breast milk cooler from the fridge any more frequently.

  18. For now I'm not going back to work until Baby Girl is 6 months. She is 5.5 weeks old and I have not started pumping yet, but I see the need on the horizon. Daddy wants help feed her and that's really the only way to let him feel involved in the process.

  19. The thing I love most about the Maddy bag is the amount of space! I am currently using the stock Medela bag and I have to bring several bags to work with me every day to carry my pump and everything else I need for work - this bag would be the perfect solution!

  20. I love that this bag is so in style! It is so cute and you simply cannot tell that it is a pump bag! I love it!

  21. I pumped for a year after my daughter was born because she was unable to successfully latch (premature). I lugged all that pumping equipment with me to work every day, and pumped every other hour all day. Luckily I had a spare office to go to when I needed to do that.

  22. I like that it looks like a regular bag, and is not obvious to random people what you are up to. When I pumped at work, it never failed that when I went to my private office to pump, some guy would barge in because he just had to "see" me immediately.

  23. I am a sahm, but we travel quite frequently so this bag would really come in handy for those times and not bring attention to the fact that I'm carrying a pump around (Miriam Matheny)

    ReplyDelete
  24. I will be a SAHM mom in the VERY near future, and will both breastfeed and pump, so that my husband can help with the feeding, too!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Besides the convenience of these bags, I seriously love that it's both black AND brown! My fav purse is like that, and I love that it can go with basically every single outfit I own.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I love how this bag is very handy and fashionable.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I am a SAHM and working on our 4th baby and I plan to breast feed and pump my husband enjoys getting to feed and bond with baby as well.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I love the fact that it doesn't look like a "breast pump" bag so I could walk around without the attention other pump bags have brought to me, very uncomfortable.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I love that it is stylish and fits more than only your pumping gear!

    ReplyDelete
  30. My favorite thing is that it looks exactly like a handbag that I would actually carry! It's nicer than a lot of diaper bags Ive seen!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I like the idea of carry one bag for myself instead of four(lunch bag, purse, computer bag & pump bag ). That's a lot & that doesn't include the babies things

    ReplyDelete
  32. I plan to take the maximum allotted time

    ReplyDelete
  33. I am not exactly sure when my daughter will return to work but I do know that she plans to return. She wants to continue feeding breast milk as long as possible.

    ReplyDelete
  34. My favorite feature of the Maddy bag is the overall size. You only have to carry one bag and still can take everything with you. I also like that it has a life after pumping.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I love that it doesn't look like I'm carrying a breast pump around everywhere I go!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I went back to work after 2 months :( hated to leave my LO but pumping allowed me to continue giving her the best nutrition possible!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I like that the side pockets can keep the milk at a good temperature for 4 hours!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I am disabled so I will not be going back to work but I will need to pump.... I have health issues and don't want to risk leaving my baby without the good stuff! I like that the Sarah Wells bag is discrete and stylish!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I love the side pockets and how versatile it is.

    ReplyDelete
  40. My favorite thing about the Maddie Bag is all of the organizational space and that it is so lightweight.

  42. My favorite thing about this bag is the metal feet and it looks NOTHING like a breastpump bag! Love it!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I don't work, nor am I an exclusive pumper. However, I do have a pump and I do use it when I know I'm going to be away from my baby. I would love a prettier pump bag than the one mine came in! Or maybe I'd use it for other things. The point is, I'd use it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. It looks so roomy! It's really cute too!

    ReplyDelete
  45. My friend is exclusively pumping.

    ReplyDelete
  46. My favorite thing about the Maddy bag is the wipeable lining.
