Today Mommy's Little Miracle is featuring a company that specializes in products that are near and dear to our heart - Buttons Diapers!
We made the decision to switch Little Mister from disposable diapers to cloth diapers when he was just 5 months old. At the time I felt it would be a great move for us because of the amount of money we would save from buying disposables! After we built a small stash, I fell in love and began wanting to try out different styles and types of diapers - and that's when I learned about diaper covers and the various forms of inserts that can be used with them!

"Buttons cloth diapers were born at home. As a husband and wife team, we designed our diapers to be easy to use and affordable for everyone - the way it should be. We believe in keeping our lives simple, even when it comes to diapering. Our company is based in the beautiful Skagit Valley of Northwest Washington, where our family enjoys hiking, biking, sailing, and splashing in puddles."

When the Buttons Diapers package arrived the first thing I noticed was the super cute tissue paper that it came wrapped it- it was like opening up a surprise gift and so much fun! Kudo's to them for the extra thoughtfulness during packaging!
We were generously sent three different colors/prints of One Size Diaper Covers and Little Mister immediately got excited and thought they were for him! He 'claimed' the orange one almost faster than I could take picture so if it, which was fine because I quickly fell in love with the green with leaves, appropriate named Thicket!
In addition to the one size diaper covers, Buttons Diapers also sent us two small daytime inserts (green trim), two large daytime inserts (beige trim), and one nighttime doubler (dark brown trim) to try out! I was very excited to have received multiple sizes so that we could test and mix and match different options. The inserts effortlessly snap into the diaper cover so that they do not move around as your child moves, which personally is a touch that I love because there's nothing worse than going to change a diaper and realizing that half of your child's potty area has been sitting on the cover itself. The daytime inserts conveniently snap into the nighttime doubler as well, so if you are using both you do not need to worry about either insert moving around during the night!
For your convenience, the Buttons Diapers Diaper Covers offer double gussets to keep your babies diaper mess inside the diaper, rather than on their clothing! The diaper cover features two rise sizes to comfortably fit babies from 9-35 pounds, and there even seems to be an extra snap to snap down to protect your little ones umbilical stump if needed! A unique feature that the diaper cover offers as well is a bit of elastic at the tummy, giving the diaper a more custom fit!
I couldn't just check out these diapers and then hide them from Little Mister, oh no sir, he loves his cloth as much as I do, so I prepped the inserts and got them ready for Little Mister and I to test out! With just the large daytime insert he was able to go his normal **approximate** 2 hours between diaper changes, although when I changed him it looked like he could have gone a lot longer between changes! That night I put him in another Buttons Diapers diaper cover and insert to really put it to the test. I used a nighttime doubler and the large insert and had absolutely no problems with leaks when he woke up the next morning! My only complaint is that when you use the doubler paired with a daytime insert, the diaper is very bulky, and I would only recommend using it for nighttime that way, otherwise your little one may have a problem with walking!
In terms of the fit of the diaper cover, it fit very nicely on Little Mister who is around 31-32 pounds. The only thing I noticed about the diaper is that it was a little low in the front, but it did not affect the function of the diaper and he seemed very comfortable while wearing it!
