*Mommy's Obsessions received a complimentary Bottle Gift Set for review in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions*
Today Mommy's Little Miracle is featuring a product that we feel is an essential for this event because while we support any time of feeding for your baby, we understand that not all may be able to breastfeed or some may choose to exclusively use a bottle with their breast milk! Born Free has a wonderful glass bottle gift set that is perfect for whatever type of feeding you choose of your little one!
When I was putting together the Mommy's Little Miracle event it was important to me to include products that showed that Mommy's Obsessions not only understands that not every mom will breastfeed, but that we support it as well. I had an extremely difficult time with breastfeeding Little Mister and at just 2 1/2 months we switched to exclusively using formula with him. And you know what? That's ok. He was/is healthy, thriving, and as happy as can be.

About Born Free
(As from their website)
"There is nothing in the world like the closeness you feel when feeding your baby. The right bottle can make this special time even better. Born Free is the natural choice for moms who want a safe, calm experience every time they feed their baby. Known for having the highest standards of safety, Born Free offers bottles that are uniquely made to satisfy every baby’s feeding needs – whether you are breastfeeding, formula feeding or both. By letting baby control the flow of milk, Born Free bottles closely mimic a mother’s natural milk flow, which reduces nipple confusion and helps support moms to reach their breastfeeding goal. Our ActiveFlow™ Venting Technology reduces gas pain, fussiness, and other colic symptoms babies sometimes experience with bottle feeding – giving you one less thing to worry about. Born Free moms will tell you about the many convenient features of our feeding system; the bottles are easy to fill and clean, come with a travel cap, and are leak-proof - because we know spilt milk is worth crying over. Developed by three concerned dads in 1996, Born Free was a pioneer in making baby products without the harmful chemicals BPA and PVC. We’ve brought that same commitment of safety to our line of teethers, pacifiers, and training cups made for your growing baby. In 2011, Born Free was acquired by Summer Infant. Born Free is thrilled to become a part of the Summer Infant family of products. Nurturing babies are what moms do best. Discover what Born Free has to offer: Nature and Nurture in Harmony™."

The Born Free Glass Gift Set is the perfect starter kit to either purchase for yourself, register for, or give as a gift! The gift set includes (2) 5oz Glass Bottles, (2) 9oz Glass Bottles, (2) Silicone Sleeves (one for each size bottle), (2) Level 3 Silicone Nipples, (1) Formula Dispenser, and (1) Twister Bottle Brush Set.
Whether you're using the bottles for breast milk or formula, the bottles allow for a natural milk flow to give your baby an experience that is similar to breastfeeding and helps them control the flow. The nipples on the bottle are also designed to prevent nipple confusion so if you are doing breast and bottle, your child will have an easier transition from one to the other.
What I love about the glass bottles is that they are naturally BPA and PVC free, they are long lasting, eco friendly, and easily to clean!
The formula dispenser makes it easy for parents to transport three servings of formula with the divided container and easy-pour spout on the lid. You can easily turn the lid without removing it from the dispenser so that if one portion has already been consumed, you can get to the next! The formula dispenser is for dry/powder formula, not remixed or liquid! I really appreciate that this dispenser makes it so easy for parents or caregivers to make the baby's bottle - we all know how cranky, hungry babies get!
Although it may look like the bottles come in several pieces, they are extremely easy to assemble and disassemble and are completely interchangeable on all Born Free bottles and transition cups. The ActiveFlow venting technology helps reduce colic and gas by controlling the flow of the milk. Additionally, the bottles have several nipple options (flow rates) that grow with your child; level 1, level 2, level 3, variable, and y-cut.
One of my favorite additions on the Born Free bottles is the convenient stopper that is placed between the vent and the nipple - I remember oh to well from Little Misters bottles that even with the lids placed over the nipple, excess formula would still leak if tipped over in the diaper bag accidentally! With the stopper that Born Free has incorporated, there is no need to worry; not only do you have the lid covering the nipple, but the stopper will eliminate any risk of spills!
I am really looking forward to using these Born Free bottles with Little Boy when he arrives! Although I plan to breastfeed, I learned with Little Mister that sometimes babies (and your body!) have other plans and you can never be to prepared! I also plan to pump with Little Boy so that mommy can get away every once in a while, and I know that daddy will love using the Born Free bottles and I will love knowing that the Born Free nipples help to prevent nipple confusion! Although we haven't used the bottles yet, I would feel confident in recommending them for your little one too out of past experience with Summer Infant/Born Free products!
To Purchase: Visit Born Free for more information on their bottle systems and to see what other fabulous products they offer! You can grab your Glass Bottle Gift Set for $49.99 at several retailers including Summer Infants website, Target, Kohls, Buy Buy Baby, and more!

ReplyDeleteThe new swaddles from Summer Infant catch my eye!
ReplyDeleteThis will be my #3 (due any day). My second BF baby. My first only BFed for 3 months and then was on formula. Second was BFed for 12 months then briefly on formula. I love Born Free. We had the glass with #2 but they were mistakenly put on top of the car and flew ice we took off :(
ReplyDeleteI love Born Free glass bottles. I prefer these over any other brand. Unfortunately the 6 we had with #2 were put on the roof of our car, flew off and shattered :( We would love these for our #3, due any day
ReplyDeleteI plan/hope to breastfeed. I'll try my hardest for our baby. But I want my husband to have the experience of bonding while feeding, so these bottles would be for him to feed with, hopefully, breastmilk.

ReplyDeleteMy first two kids were breastfed for the first month, and then formula fed until they were 1. My daughter, who is now 3 months, has been ebf. I don't regret either one, as I think what is the most important is that your baby is healthy, happy, and fed.
ReplyDeleteI also wouldn't mind have the Sweet Comfort Musical Bouncer for my baby girl. It looks very comfortable, and I am sure the sounds would lull her to sleep.
