Nostalgia Electrics Vintage Collection Old Fashioned Ice Cream Maker combines the fun experience of making homemade ice cream with modern convenience. The Ice Cream Maker is super simple to use, just place the aluminum canister filled with your ingredients into the center of the bucket, then fill the wood bucket with ice and let it's electric motor do the churning for you! Make 4 quarts of delicious ice cream per batch. The Ice Cream Maker even includes some tasty recipes in their manual that are easy to make! This Vintage Collection Old Fashioned Ice Cream Maker is perfect to bring out at parties or just to enjoy on a hot summer day! Plus lets be real, what's better than homemade ice cream?!
Nostalgia Electrics generously sent me their Vintage Collection Old Fashioned Ice Cream Maker for review and I was looking forward to receiving it! I knew it would be perfect to use during the hot summer we are about to endure! I have only had homemade ice cream once, when I was about 7 years old, and I remember it being absolutely amazing. I was excited to have the opportunity to test out an ice cream maker of my own! When the Vintage Collection Old Fashioned Ice Cream Maker arrived I was surprised at how large the box was! I opened it immediately to check things out and I couldn't believe how big the ice cream maker was! Taking everything out of the box I knew that the ice cream maker would last a long time, everything felt durable and high quality.
When I geared up to make our homemade ice cream I had no idea what a process it would be! From grabbing ingredients at the store to completing each step, the entire thing took several hours but the end result was worth it! The Vintage Collection Old Fashioned Ice Cream Maker includes an instruction manual equipped with step by step instructions as well as a handful of yummy ice cream recipes that I am eager to try out such as Coffee and Chocolate! For my first test drive with the ice cream maker I decided to play it safe and stick with good ol' fashioned vanilla. It seemed easy (and I like easy when I have no idea what I'm doing).
After a long fun filled few hours of ice cream making I had rich creamy ice cream to enjoy with Baby A! Typically I don't let my little man eat ice cream but I figured after all of my hard work, he might as well be rewarded! I couldn't wait to see his face when he tasted it. When I tasted it I couldn't believe how A-MAZ-ING it was! Like I said, I hadn't had homemade ice cream since I was a little girl so having it again was a real delight. The best part was that thanks to the Vintage Collection Old Fashioned Ice Cream Maker the 'hard part' (the constant churning) was taken care of!
I decided to spice things up a bit and turn our delicious ice cream into a fun ice cream sundae with chocolate sauce and fun springtime sprinkles. It was amazing and Baby A absolutely LOVED it!
I give the Vintage Collection Old Fashioned Ice Cream Maker an A+ in the categories of fun, ease, quality, and durability! If you're looking for a fun adventure leading to a tasty treat this summer pick up one of Nostalgia Electrics ice cream makers and stay cool in a fun new way!

ReplyDeleteI love homemade ice cream. This year we bought a Cuisinart ice cream maker. It's different that the classic type in that it has a tub that you freeze first and then make the ice cream in the frozen tub. We have tried vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and watermelon sorbet too. It doesn't make as much ice cream than the classic type though, only about a quart. Thanks for the info and I hope you enjoy your homemade ice cream as much as we do.
