For Christmas last year, I was so excited when my mom bought me my first ever sewing machine! I couldn't wait for it to arrive and when I did I was so excited to teach myself how to sew. I've done a few projects since receiving it, but I will admit that they weren't exactly amazing. I've been so busy with the blog lately that I've hardly had time to sit down and get back into learning how to sew, but thanks to Jimmy Beans Wool's new book, Sew Red, I am now inspired to pick up some fabric and sit in front of the sewing machine!
*I received a complimentary copy of Sew Red for review in exchange of my honest thoughts and opinions*
Did you know that heart disease is the #1 killer of women? Sew Red is written by Laura Zander and is the follow up to her first book Knit Red. Both of Laura Zanders books are apart of the Stitch Red campaign and are centered around supporting and fighting for women's heart health. Along with finding amazing and gorgeous sewing and quilting ideas, you will also come across touching personal stories of the designers various personal experiences with heart disease, tips to staying healthy, and even recipes!
According to Laura Zander, the author of Sew Red, “Heart disease is the number one killer of women in the United States.
