{Mommy's Little Miracle} Knocked Up Fitness

*Mommy's Obsessions received a complimentary book and DVD for review in exchange for our honest thoughts and opinions*

Today Mommy's Little Miracle is featuring Knocked Up Fitness's Guide to Pregnancy Book & After Baby DVD!

Health and fitness is something in life that you should not take lightly, and the same applies for during your pregnancy! Although us pregnant ladies love to indulge on those late night Oreo sunday's  or give in to our naughty fast food cravings, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is especially important throughout your pregnancy.

I'll be the first to admit that I am not a fan of working out (especially while carrying the extra weight of a growing child), but lucky for me and all of you other pregnant ladies who would rather relax that work out, Knocked-Up Fitness makes it easy for us to stay active and healthy during pregnancy, and to help kick the baby weight after!

Are you expecting in 2014? Did you just have your little bundle of joy? Know someone who's pregnant or trying to conceive? Then this event is for you! Alex of Mommy's Obsessions is expecting her second son this October and has created an event that is perfect for expectant mothers! Mommy's Little Miracle is a Pregnancy, Newborn/Early Infancy, and Postpartum event that will be featuring everything from maternity clothing to newborn essentials, to postpartum products you must have! We highly recommend that you bookmark the open giveaway page by clicking on the image below then adding it to your bookmarks bar! Over the next three weeks you will have the chance to enter to win some amazing prizes from items for YOU and things for your little one!

Let me be the first to admit that getting motivated to get my booty in gear and get exercising, is a huge challenge for me. Unlike my husband who is complete fitness guru, I would rather curl up on the couch with my laptop and write for y'all than go hit a work out in our home gym. I know, lazy right? When I had Little Mister I gained my fair share of baby weight and it took about a year to lose it all, so when I learned I was pregnant with Little Boy I knew that I needed to do something to better prep my body not only for the child birth that it would be enduring in 9 months, but to help myself shed those pounds once he was here. When I spoke with Knocked-Up Fitness in regards to this event, I knew they were just what I needed to help motivate myself to do more than just take walks around the neighborhood and eat healthy - they would help me during pregnancy and after baby. And to tell you the truth, I was pretty motivated!

Knocked Up Fitness's Guide to Pregnancy features about 50 detailed and heavily photographed of pregnancy friendly work outs that you can do in the comfort of your own home! I know that working out at home can be tough, especially when you already have little ones, but I have to say that having the exercises laid out in a book is especially helpful. Just entertain your little one with some toys or a short TV show, pick a spacious area of your house to sit down in, and find a few work outs that suit your needs the best for that day! Each work out is designed to help you stay fit and healthy during your pregnancy and some may even help prepare you for child birth!

Designed with baby bumps in mind, the book details safe yet effective ways to do each work out and if you need to tailor the exercise slightly to accommodate your pregnancy, you obviously can do that! Prior to beaming a mommy, I worked in the sales department of a local gym, so I had the opportunity to work with some wonderful personal trainers both before I was pregnant and during my pregnancy, and as much as I found them to be beneficial, I have to say that I have been enjoying this book more. Unless your personal trainer specializes in working with pregnant women, I feel like their expectations as to what you can do may be a little higher than what you are either comfortable with doing, or can physically do with a big ol' belly! With the Guide to Pregnancy book, you set the pace, you push your own limits, and you say when your body has physically has had enough for the day - and that's what I love most.

The After Baby DVD is the ultimate resource for getting that pre baby body back, while in the comfort of your own home! It features a variety of pilates infused work outs that can easily be done while you work around your newborns new routine! There are over 2 full hours of work outs on this DVD that you can either choose to do in order, or mix and match to create your own routine!

Working out while having a newborn in the house can be a challenge, especially if you have other little ones running around too, but when I turned on the After Baby DVD to preview it for this review, Little Mister seemed immediately intrigued and even attempted to copy what was happening in the video! The After Baby DVD understands what is happening with your postpartum body and really takes into consideration what can be done at what point in your postpartum stage. Of course, prior to firing up this DVD you should always check with your doctor to see when you may begin working out again, but once you have been cleared, the After Baby DVD will really come in handy for those who may not feel comfortable enough to go to a gym, don't have the time, or simply would rather work out at home!

The Knocked Up Fitness Guide to Pregnancy and After Baby DVD are a great resource for expectant and new moms to have not only for their health and fitness, but to assist their bodies in prepping for child birth and postpartum! If I had to chose between one or the other to purchase or give as a gift, I would choose the Guide to Pregnancy Book as I feel like the exercises are fabulous for all stages of pregnancy, including the postpartum, and that it is a wonderful resource for moms everywhere!
