{Mommy's Little Miracle} Bamboobies

*Mommy's Obsessions received a complimentary set of nursing items for review in exchange for our honest thoughts and opinions*

Today Mommy's Little Miracle is featuring a set of nursing items that are a must have for mommies everywhere- Bamboobies!

When I had Little Mister, I will be the first to admit that I was extremely uneducated in the world of baby products. I knew that I wanted to try and breastfeed him, but I had no idea what type of "accessories" would be needed during my time breastfeeding and I hadn't purchased anything ahead of time.
Are you expecting in 2014? Did you just have your little bundle of joy? Know someone who's pregnant or trying to conceive? Then this event is for you! Alex of Mommy's Obsessions is expecting her second son this October and has created an event that is perfect for expectant mothers! Mommy's Little Miracle is a Pregnancy, Newborn/Early Infancy, and Postpartum event that will be featuring everything from maternity clothing to newborn essentials, to postpartum products you must have! We highly recommend that you bookmark the open giveaway page by clicking on the image below then adding it to your bookmarks bar! About Bamboobies
(As from their website)

"Bamboobies nursing pads and other SOFT Style solutions have been created with love from one mother to many others. Bamboobies began as a solution to a personal problem: I was very 'leaky' and couldn't find a pad that didn't leak or show through my shirt. It was 2009 when the funny name 'Bamboobies' popped into my head after I turned a square of bamboo velour fabric into a makeshift pad. I had an entrepreneurial business background, a creative urge, and a sense of mission that couldn't be stopped. What began as a singular idea has quickly blossomed. After creating original and overnight Bamboobies nursing pads, I began to address other pregnancy and new mother challenges. We have grown our product line and team, moved out of the basement and gained more distribution partners across the US and abroad. More importantly, we have developed a growing, vocal base of mothers that love and rave about how our products have helped them."

One thing that I quickly learned was that your breasts are going to leak and that you should invest in some nursing pads! Yep, I literally had no idea that this would happen (it was kind of sad how much I didn't know!). This time around I told myself that I would be as prepared as possible for when Little Boy arrived and one of the first things on my "nursing needs" checklist were quality, reusable nursing pads. Having been immersed in the baby industry for over two years now, I knew that Bamboobies were the nursing pads that I would want to stockpile, and I was even more excited to see that in addition to nursing pads they also offered nursing products to assist in the further comfort of nursing mamas!

Bamboobies generously sent me several products of theirs to try including their nursing pads, overnight nursing pads, Boob Ease Therapy Pillows, and Boob Ease Nipple Cream, all of which I cannot wait to use once Little Boy is here!

Bamboobies nursing pads first drew me in because I loved that they were in the shape of hearts and were in fun colors. When I did further research on these adorable nursing pads, I loved that they were made from bamboo velour and organic cotton, and included an inner layer of hemp and organic cotton to assist in preventing leaks. Although they have three ultra absorbent layers, the nursing pads are trim and less likely to show through your clothing! It's hard to describe how truly soft these nursing pads are, but if you looking for a nursing pad that is soft and luxurious feeling, these nursing pads are for you!

The overnight nursing pads are just as soft, if not softer, than the regular Bamboobies nursing pads and are thicker and larger for extra overnight protection. I really appreciate that the overnight nursing pads are round rather than heart shaped because from past experience of nursing pads with Little Mister, it's so important to have extra coverage at night time otherwise you'll find yourself changing your bra/shirt and throwing a towel on the bed until morning!

As I've mentioned several times over the course of this event, Little Mister and I did not have a very pleasant nursing experience and I had to stop nursing him way earlier than I had originally planned. With Little Mister, I plan on putting up a bigger fight and making nursing work for us. From my short time of nursing, and from speaking with friends who successfully nursed, I know that your breasts can get extremely sore - especially if mastitis is to occur. Thankfully, Bamboobies created a Boob Ease Therapy Line and created the Soothing Therapy Pillows. The Soothing Therapy Pillow are made from an ultra soft bamboo velour and soft organic cotton jersey, and filled with Flax Seeds which can be heated in the microwave or cooled in the freezer to provide you with relief.

The final product I am excited to share with you is the Boob Ease Natural Nipple Balm. When I began breastfeeding Little Mister I had no idea that nipple cream was a thing, let alone that I would come to rely on it. However, I always hated the nipple cream available at my local stores and knew that when Little Boy arrived I would be searching for a quality nipple cream that I actually would like. The Natural Nipple Balm from Bamboobies is not only non-toxic and 100% organic, but it is (of course) completely safe if your child ingests it while they are breastfeeding. The Nipple Balm is soft, if you will, and doesn't leave you feeling overly greasy like other brands of nipple cream may. I am truly looking forward to using the Nipple Balm when Little Boy arrives!

  8. I'm expecting with my first in a few months but I want to exclusively breastfeed as long as I can and I imagine bamboobies' products would come in handy! Their chic nursing shawl looks light and stretchy without looking really tacky and obvious! I've tried on several types of nursing covers trying to find the perfect kind but the apron style is super tacky and the others were too difficult to get on with two free hands. I like that Bamboobies' shawl cover looks like a scarf that you can just pull down when feeding. :)
