I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to review Tiny Love’s Follow-me Fred and Starry Night Mobile *Soother* Night Light.  I have loved all the Tiny Love items I have purchased for my children in the past and was excited to do the review for them.  Both of these items are products that multi-task allowing you to use them through multiple stages of your child’s development.  Either one would be a great gift for any occasion.

Starry Night is a 3 in 1 mobile, soother, night light that can be used from newborn to toddler years, I wish I would have had this when my babies were actual babies, the one I had was pretty much useless once they were able to reach it and start tugging on it; we just had to take it off the crib and that was the end of that.  This mobile plays music in for 30 minutes at a time, and has 3 different musical categories with 9 different tunes, and projects images on the canopy while baby’s vision is still quite limited.  Once baby is a little older and their sight has fully developed you can remove the canopy and it turns into a music box with ceiling projection.   Then once your child graduates into a big kid bed it can be turned into a soothing magical starry night lamp.  It is very east to transition between the stages of Starry Night, and only takes a minute or two to put together.  It has adjustable volume, a mute button, mode of use button, and takes 4 C batteries.

This has made a great addition to Baby C’s bedroom, a lot of days he will lay in bed for 30 minutes to an hour before or after sleeping, and just play by himself, this has given him some relaxing music and lights to enjoy during that time, and he can’t wait to run over and turn it on at bedtime.  Little Miss was a little jealous that it went in his room instead of hers, I have even found her in his room enjoying it a few times.

Follow-me Fred is a great toy that helps encourage crawling.  Fred is an adorable little dog with bright colors and crinkly ears. When Fred is gently tapped he starts to move forward for a few seconds, which encourages crawling by allowing baby to follow him.  He has a flexible body that allows him to move in the direction you point him when he is straight, or in a circle when he is curved.  It has adjustable speeds, that way when your little one gets a little faster at crawling or walking, so will Fred.  Fred barks and plays a friendly tune when pressed, for the parents that want a little quite time while baby plays there is a mute button as well, that allows your little one to play with and chase Fred, but he will not bark or play a tune.  The recommended age for this toy is 6 months and older.

Baby C is going to be 2 soon so I was worried he may be a little too old for this toy, but boy was I wrong.  Baby C loves dogs, when we stay with my mom he will sit at her back door and just watch her dogs for 20-30 minutes at a time, and when we go to Alex’s house he is always hugging and kissing her dogs, it’s so cute, one day he may actually have one of his own, but for now Fred will have to do.  When he saw Fred he couldn’t wait to play with him, I had a hard time taking pictures because he wanted to play with him so bad.  He chases Fred around the house laughing and giggling the whole time.  When he’s not chasing Fred they watch cartoons together lol!  I think this would be a great toy to encourage babies to crawl and/or walk, and fun enough to keep around for playing with as they grow.

I recommend both of these toys to anyone who has little ones, or needs a great gift for a little one! The products are well made to last through the many changing stages of children, with these, one toy will do what you would normally need 2 or 3 to do. Not only will save you money but you help keep your household clutter down.
