Mead is a household name for those who love to organize. It is a product line created for anyone who aspires to learn, imagine, and create through trusted daily tools such as planners, notebooks, and shopping tools. The OrganizHer sub-brand was created to keep us ladies organized in our daily lives and while we're out and about!

I was so excited to have the opportunity to work with Mead/OrganizHer on a review and giveaway for their Shopping Companion. Since I can remember, I have always been obsessed with school/office supplies including but not limited to planners, notebooks, folders, pens, and highlighters. When I learned that OrganizHer offered 'Shopping Companions' I was over the moon and couldn't wait to have it in my hot little hands!

I received the purple Shopping Companion for review and I was instantly impressed with the quality. The notebook (for lack of a better term) included an elastic band to keep it closed so that your lists and coupons won't fall out in your purse or diaper bag.

The front page of the Shopping Companion has clear store loyalty card holders so that you can easily keep all of your store cards in one convenient place, since you'll always have your Shopping Companion with you while you're out! The cards fit perfectly and are quick and easy to take out when needed! I only have four loyalty cards, however the shopping companion can hold 8 (front and back) as well as 8 (front and back) of the keychain sized loyalty cards! I thought this was an awesome feature!

The Shopping Companion has two tabs for you to utilize - shopping list, and coupons! I love that there are not tons of tabs in the Shopping Companion, it keeps organization simple and easy to utilize.

In the "Shopping List" tab there are several shopping list pages that are perforated so that you can easily remove them from the notebook if it is easier for you. There are many lines to write in your grocery items as well as bubbles for you to check off items as you put them into your shopping cart.

The "coupon tab" of the Shopping Companion is a feature that I was very impressed with! The pages of this section are actually small pockets to store coupons in. I love that they are pockets because it is easy to accommodate different sized coupons or store multiple in one pocket! The pockets also have a section where you can write in what type of coupon or if you want, what store the coupons are for.

The Shopping Companion also features a plastic zip-locking sleeve that is perfect to store pens or pencils in, so that you can write in your Shopping Companion while on the go!

The last feature of the Shopping Companion is that it offers a section in the back for you to write your favorite websites and blogs in, which is perfect for remembering the websites with tasty recipes that you come across!

Overall I love my OrganizHer Shopping Companion and think that it is a fantastic purchase for anyone who wants to keep their grocery shopping a little more organized! If I were to offer a suggestion to Mead/OrganizHer, I would absolutely love for Organizher to create a section in the Shopping Companion for weekly meal planning, then I would say that this Shopping Companion is the total package!

  1. I have 7 baskets that I bought from Dollar Tree in my pantry labeled with the days of the week. I put the name of the meal inside with the nonperishables needed for that meal. This way when tween and teen are hungry, they know what I need for dinners for the week and don't eat those things. Plus, all I have to do is grab the basket when making dinner that night.

  14. I used to go shopping by myself and save money, now I take my hubby, we are retired, plus it helps to have someone to unload the groceries and bring into the house, now that all my kids are grown and married. I keep a list on the refrigerator and if we run out of something it goes on the list, works for us.

  15. I keep a marker board in my kitchen so as I go through the day/week, I can write down things as I think of them, then make my grocery list from that marker board. That way I'm not repeating anything or forgetting anything.

Great tip from the first commenter up there! I will have to snag that idea! :)

  16. I wish I could say I was as organized as some of these other ladies. But unfortunately I am a lost cause. I always lose coupons , forget to make a list, then half thetime forget what I was supposed to bethere for. So I truly wish I could win to be more organized and up to date on sales and everything.

  18. I use A Penny Filled Pantry to do all the coupon match ups for me. Then I cut them before I go!

  19. I comparison shop so I write down each store and prices for each item and oz or lbs required. I separate all these items from regular priced items. It helps checkout go much faster. Writing down what each store offers helps me pull up the ad if asked

    ReplyDelete
  21. I use a sheet of paper folded up then write my list on it and store the coupons I am going to use in the folded part

    ReplyDelete
  22. I like to go to the store when I am not hungary. I buy only things that are on sale in each store I go to. I make a list of things i need in the future, not urgently so I can look for coupons.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  27. I write my grocery list down in the front of my notebook, pair it with weekly sales ads and coupons. I never pay full price, everything is categorized by departments.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  33. I keep a donate box. As I find something we don't need anymore I toss it in the box and when the box is full take it to the local Salvation Army.

    ReplyDelete
  34. If I'm on top of my game I will look up the grocery items that I want to buy organic and write a little "o" next to it on the list. That way I don't have to wonder how full of pesticides an item might be when I'm staring at in in the produce section.

    ReplyDelete
  39. always write down what is needed & always bring list with me

    ReplyDelete
  40. I meal plan. It cuts down on not buying so much extra, then I organize the Cans in our food closet by which meal they go with. The fridge is where I find it hard to organize!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Keep a shelf dedicated for leftovers in the fridge. That way when you are looking for something to eat you can finish that up first so it doesn't go to waste.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  46. I like to put a star next to an item on my grocery list if I will be using a coupon for that item. This helps remind me to give my coupons to the cashier. There's nothing worse than getting home and realizing I forgot to use them!

    ReplyDelete
  47. We also have a whiteboard in our kitchen entry where we place bills, keep track of our schedule, etc. I also use a planner but my husband isn't a planner person so it helps for him to know what is going on.
