For The Love of Crafts: Bandtail Boutique Review & Giveaway

Today's post is brought to you by A Sensible Momma

Welcome to the "For the Love of Crafts" Review and Giveaway event
hosted by Mommys Craft ObsessionPrincess Among SuperheroesSo Sew Mama and A Sensible Momma! This event is to showcase the hard working small business owners and WAHMs of Etsy and Hyena Cart and their wonderful handcrafted products! Each day we will be bringing you at least 2 awesome giveaways!

Today we'll be highlighting Bandtail Boutique, a unique shop on Hyena Cart! She also just celebrated her 2 year shop anniversary! CONGRATULATIONS SHANNON!

Shannon of Bandtail Boutique lives on a small hobby farm with her husband, 2 kids, 2 cats, 1 dog, 19 chickens, 4 dairy goats, 1 alpaca and 1 alpaca/llama cross! She also has a thriving beehive with several thousand bees! Some of the goat's milk and beeswax are used in her bath and body products.

The unique thing about Bandtail Boutique is that Shannon offers children's products as well as bath and body. I feel like its a one-stop-shop! Her bath and body line includes soaps, scrubs, lip balm and soaps. She makes bows, clips, headbands, bow holders, tutus, tutu dresses, crocheted items and leg warmers as well! She even makes adult tutus and tutus for racing teams like 5ks and mud runs. Her love for crafting began at an early age and after several recommendations to sell her creations, her Hyena Cart shop was created!

I had the opportunity to review several of her items--two soaps from her bath and body collection and a tutu dress! When I first opened up the package of the Pearberry Patriotic soap, I made my husband smell it. He said he liked it which shows it isn't too feminine smelling at all! I decided to take it into the shower with me to really test it out. It has a wonderful lather! What I also like is the embedded sparkle soap bits that feel like an exfoliant on the skin. It rinses off easily and doesn't feel like it leaves any sort of residue.

I also tried a goat's milk soap with the scent of baby powder, called Baby Fresh. This one I used on my hands and it leaves them smelling great after washing! It has a different feel to it while rinsing, perhaps due to the milk but it is still a nice, smooth soap that lathers well.

To my surprise, I was also sent a tutu dress for my toddler! She is a size 2T and the dress is a 3T so while the dress is supposed to be tea length, it was just slightly longer for her but still fit. This tutu dress is new to the shop, but I'm sure it'll be a hit! It is perfect for birthdays, photography sessions, halloween or even just dress up! The quality of workmanship is excellent. The two bows are adorably placed and the satin ribbon is very high quality. The hand tied tulle tutu can be straightened best by hanging it in the bathroom while someone showers! As soon as I put it on Elizabeth, she started twirling the tutu and saying "I'm a princess," she was so excited! (Hence the silly face lol)
