Babywearing Mama's, I'm excited to tell you your favorite carrier, the Moby Wrap, now has a soft structured carrier available called the Moby GO! Perfect for your growing child who may not want to be wrapped to you, but instead now wants to be in a more seated position ready to view the world as you take them on an adventure. If you're looking for the perfect carrier for yourself and your little one, let me tell you my friends, the Moby GO is the carrier you've been searching for.

*I received a complementary Moby GO for review in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions*
Moby Wrap Inc was created by parents who were looking for the perfect baby carrier. Their name is stemmed from MOther and BaBY, with a focus on
sharing the benefits of babywearing with parents and caregivers world wide. Moby has become a household name for parents everywhere, known for their amazing Moby Wrap which distributes distributes the weight of the child evenly across the caregivers body and aligns the baby to the center of gravity as close to the babywearer as possible. Moby recently decided that they wanted to take their products to the next level and designed their soft structured carrier, the Moby GO.
I was generously sent a Moby GO for review, and let me just tell you that I was SO excited to receive it! As you already know, I am a huge fan of babywearing and I was bummed that I never had the opportunity to try the Moby Wrap when Baby A was teeny tiny. When I had the opportunity to review the Moby GO I was practically jumping up and down with excitement. The Moby GO is a soft structured baby carrier designed for children up to 45 pounds and 56 inches. One thing that stuck out to me the most when the carrier arrived was the box that it came in. I loved (and was very impressed) that it had a daddy on the front babywearing, rather than the traditional mom with her child. To me this stood out as I feel it is extremely important that dads babywear too!
Upon taking the Moby GO out of the box I immediately noticed that this carrier was lighter than the other carriers that I have had the opportunity to try out! If you live in an area with extreme heat in the summer (such as Arizona like me!) is the GO will be perfect for you and your little one so that the two of you hopefully aren't scouring hot! The Moby GO has a cross shoulder design so that the weight of your baby evenly distributes across your body and gives you more comfort and stability while wearing it. The Moby GO also features a size adjustable hood for your child to wear if they fall asleep, are nursing, or just need protection from the weather!
On the front of the Moby GO there is a zippered hood pocket which allows for easy storage while the hood is not in use. To take the hood out simply unzip and unroll (or unstuff depending on you how put the hood into the pocket) and place over the baby's head. As your child grows the hood can be adjusted by removing the hood from one velcro strip and moving it to the next size up. You can also completely remove the hood if you so choose and use that zippered pocket as a storage area for small things such as your keys (make sure they're not poking the baby!), chap stick, or credit cards/money.
So you may be wondering, how do you get your little one into the carrier since it has a cross strap back? When I first took the carrier out of the box I will admit that I stopped to scratch my head wondering the same thing. I quickly referred to the instruction manual that showed me that I would need to put the carrier on myself, loosen the side straps, and lower Baby A down into the carrier. Once he was sitting comfortable I would then re-adjust the straps until it fit snugly and off we went! The first time I put Baby A in the Moby GO I asked Mr. Hunky to be my 'spotter' just in case I had a clumsy moment and needed help! The Moby GO was so simple to to Baby A into and adjust that no help was necessary and after just two or three times of using it I felt like an old pro. Below is a photo of the adjustable side straps that you will need to loosen and tighten while putting your child into (and taking them out of) the carrier.
The Moby GO buckles around your waist to support the carrier and of course your child. The buckle is large which gives the carrier added comfort and support while you're wearing it. While the buckle is large, it still fits perfectly into your hand so if you needed to put it on one handed for some reason, you could do it (although I strongly recommend using two hands).
Once your Moby GO is on and your child is in, it is recommended that you then re-adjust the straps so that they fit your body comfortably and you can GO on your adventure while wearing your little one!
After wearing the Moby GO and comparing it to other carriers that I have had the opportunity to own I can honestly say that I am a huge fan. I love that the Moby GO is light weight which is perfect for the summer time, and although the shoulder straps are not padded I was extremely comfortable even when baby wearing for several hours on a shopping trip. For an extra opinion I had my friend wear the GO while we went on a trip to Buy Buy Baby and she had a smile on her face the entire time and said that she loved it. If you are a fan of Moby Wraps and babywearing, you must buy yourself a Moby GO for this summer!
