Nuby Sound Bite Spoons Review

*I received a complimentary product for review in change for my honest thoughts and opinions.*

When you first start a little one on solids, getting them to open their mouth to take a bite may be a challenge (well, unless your child is like Baby A). Parents try literally everything to get their little ones to take a bite, playing peek-a-boo to make them smile, making airplane or choo-choo noises. In my experience, usually the airplane or choo-choo works the best, but I would also be sick of making noises after about two successful bites. With the help of Nuby USA's Sound Bite Spoons, you'll never have to make those silly noises again!

Nuby's Sound Bite Spoon features a soft tip and is the perfect size to help parents get the appropriate amount of food onto the spoon for their little one. I chose to get the airplane Sound Bite Spoons which I thought would make a great addition to our utensils! The Airplane easily comes off of the first spoon and can slide right onto the second so if one is dirty you can still have a handy helper during meal time!

The age group for this spoon is ages 6 months & older and I feel as though the age range that this spoon would be most appropriate for is between 6 months to a year. Baby A is seventeen months and is a "chow hound" as I call him, and I felt as though the spoon wasn't deep enough for the size of bites he is taking at this stage in his "babyhood". I wish we would have had these spoons when he was first starting on solids!

The airplane makes, well, airplane noises when you push the little yellow button located on the top. I was pleased to hear that the airplane isn't extremely loud and obnoxious! It is just loud enough where it will entertain your little one without driving the rest of the family nutty. When I made the airplane make it's airplane noises for the first time Baby A just thought it was the funniest thing ever! He instantly tried to grab the spoon from me to inspect, so I let him play with it. I laughed hysterically when he took it over to his toy basket in our living room and dropped it in! I guess he thought that his new spoon as actually a new toy!

I recommend the Sound Bite Spoons to anyone who is introducing their little one to solids! These would also make a fantastic gift to a new parent!
