Featured Seller/Product Review: Covered in Shalom

Part of being a "girly girl" is acting like a girly girl. Aside from jewelry another staple in a girly girls wardrobe is hair accessories, specifically headbands. I've always been a fan of headbands but I rarely wear them because they ALWAYS give me a headache! Whether its elastic, metal or satin, I just cannot wear a headband without a pounding head an hour later. When I came across Covered in Shalom on Etsy I was immediately intrigued by the gorgeous fabrics and colors used to make the fabric headbands/hair coverings that are sold in the shop.

Clare, the owner of Covered in Shalom, lives in Colorado with her high school sweetheart and three children. Her and her family live a modest life by homeschooling their children, limiting and monitoring television and movies and choosing to do more as a family (something that in my opinion more families need to partake in). Clare started creating hair coverings for herself several years ago when she could not find any to purchase that fit her personality. She created them so that they could be worn as a covering or as a headband depending on your mood or personality and she chooses fabrics that are fun and uplifting.

Today I am reveiwing a gorgeous vibrant blue and white flowered covering from Covered in Shalom. My covering will be worn as a headband because that is more of my personality but if I chose to, I can easily wear this as a covering. I love these fabric headbands because they tie behind your head and you can wear them as loose or as tight as you want. Remember how I said that headbands give me a headache? Well I wore this beauty all day yesterday and the fabric is light weight, breathes easily and never once gave me a headache! It gets an A+ in my grade book! These fabric headbands are extremely well crafted and are amazing quality. One of the coolest features is that these turn from a covering to a headband literally with just a quick "tug". As seen in the photo below (the one with my finger in it), all you do is hold that place on both sides and gently pull and the covering folds into itself to create a headband in seconds. It's pretty ingenious. If you enjoy wearing headbands or coverings I highly recommend that you head on over to Covered in Shalom and get yours today, Clare is offering 10% off of your first purchase by using the promo code FIRSTBUY!
