DIY Toddler Car Wash {Rainy Day Project}

Being that winter is upon us, we are all bound to experience more rainy and snowy days, and during these days it's important to keep our energetic toddlers busy so that we don't go insane. Am I right? Earlier this year I sat down to brainstorm some projects that Little Mister could do during the winter months to keep him busy, I immediately knew that something I came up with had to include his cars. He is obsessed with Hot Wheels and has more of them than I care to count. He brings a car with him everywhere whether it be when we go out or even places such as the bath or shower! At any given time he typically has a car in his hand, so I figured why not "kill two birds with one stone" and let Little Mister not only have fun, but clean his Hot Wheels in the process! In the long run it's a win-win!

What I love most about this rainy day project is that everything you need is more than likely things that you already have lying around your home. The "supplies" are simple and if needed can easily be substituted for something else (i.e.: if you don't have spray bottle, a simple wash cloth will work). In a matter of minutes you will be finished gathering your supplies and your toddler will be occupied for at least an hour!

What You Need:

-Spray Bottle (filled with water)
-Old Toothbrush
-Blanket to Sit on
-Small "Work Station" Towel (aka hand towel)
-Large "Drying Station" Towel (aka bath towel)
-Soapy Water
-Bucket of "Dirty Toys"

Once you've set your little one up and let them explore! You may need to show them how to dip their brush and/or car into the water and scrub the car, then how to place the wet car onto the "drying station". Once they get the hang of it, you are a free momma (or daddy!) and can let them enjoy the fun while you do the things you need to do around the house!
