As many of you already know (and for those who are new to Mommys Craft Obsession), I am an advocate of cloth diapers. I started my little man in disposables because honestly, the thought of cloth diapering grossed me out. When Baby A was around 4 months, randomly one morning the thought of cloth diapering popped into my head. After talking to a friend about it and getting all of the information, I decided to dive in head first and get started. Deciding to do things the cheap way, I cut corners wherever possible and that included me avoiding the essential purchase of a diaper pail liner. I thought that a plain ol' trash bag would work out fine, but after a few months of wanting to pass out every time I opened my diaper pail, I decided it was time for a change. Knowing that there are many cloth users who were most likely in the same situation as I was, I decided to reach out to Planet Wise to see if they would help me encourage other moms (and dads!) to buy a good quality pail liner as well.
Have you ever shopped at Nicki's Diapers? Did you know that Planet Wise is owned by Nicki's Diapers? I had no idea! I love Nicki's Diapers, they literally have everything under the sun for babies whether you need cloth diapering essentials, baby wearing carriers, car seats, and so much more! Nicki's Diapers offers customer reward program where you build up points to get free diapers! And as if that isn't enough of a reason to shop with Nicki's Diapers, then read on my friend! New to cloth diapering? Afraid you won't end up liking them (Ha!)? Nicki's Diapers offers a 15 Day Wash & Return program where within 15 days of your purchase if you end up not liking your experience with cloth diapers you can return everything and get your return in the form of a store credit! How awesome is that!?
Let's talk about the pail liner. As I said previously, I honestly didn't think that I needed one and was happy using a regular garbage bag..until recently that is. Nicki's Diapers generously sent me a Planet Wise Pail Liner in my choice of color. I decide to go with "Butter" which is a beautiful soft yellow, but my "runners up" were Seafoam and Avocado. I have to say, these pail liners come in beautiful colors! I was looking forward to taking my new pail liner for a spin when it arrived.
The Planet Wise Pail Liner is very large and fits up to a 54 quart or 14 gallon diaper pail or trash can, and also fits pails (or trash cans) that are up to 28 inches tall as well!
The pail liner has an elastic band around the top so that it forms snugly to your diaper pail and insures that the liner won't move or fall into the pail while your diapers are weighing it down. As you can see in the photo's my pail isn't huge so the liner does fold over it about 4 inches or so and probably more if I allowed it to so I have some room to play with if I decide to get a larger pail one day.
Photos were taken in my kitchen and no, that is not where I keep my diaper pail!

The Planet Wise Pail Liner prides itself on being sturdy/well made, keeping smells inside of the pail rather than the room the pail is in, leak proof, anti-microbial, and of course, reusable!
Now that I've made the switch to using a pail liner I will never go back to just a regular trash bag! The liner really does hold in the ammonia smell in the pail and I love that I can walk into my laundry room and not have the urge to hold my nose when I get close to the pail! What's best about the pail liner is that I can just throw it right into the wash with my diapers and get everything nice and clean at once! Even if you think that a pail liner is not essential while starting out cloth diapering, let me give you my word of advice and say, just get one! Trust me!
To Purchase: Go to Nicki's Diapers and pick up all of your cloth diapering needs (plus so much more!) in one convenient stop!
But wait! Don't leave so soon! There's more!!
Planet Wise & Nicki's Diapers want to give one lucky reader a Planet Wise Pail Liner!

ReplyDeleteGreat review. I would never have thought there would be a need for a diaper pail liner. I like your idea of throwing the liner in the washer with your cloth diapers.
