(As from their website)
"My inspiration for Milk came after the birth of my first daughter in 1997. Early on I was introduced to the concept of nursingwear. While I loved the discretion and ease that nursing clothing provided, I did not love the dowdy styling. I wanted to feel attractive and fashionable and believed my clothing should reflect that. So in June 2000, armed with entrepreneurial spirit, my MBA, experience as a Bloomingdale's buyer and a Marketing Manager, I realized my vision by launching a company called Expressiva Nursingwear. After seven successful years of running that company I sold it and created Milk Nursingwear, truly the freshest nursingwear on the planet! We have thousands of happy customers the world over. What sets Milk apart is:
- Excellent customer service. We are here to serve you. We offer fast shipping, easy returns and exchanges, and personal service by email and phone.
- Fresh, modern styles. We design clothing that is so stylish and flattering, you'd want to wear it even if you weren't nursing!
- We support moms. As moms ourselves, we know the joys and challenges that motherhood brings. We offer non-judgmental support for your feeding decisions, parenting decisions, lifestyles, and child-rearing practices. We support your efforts to breastfeed by making it easier and more fashionable for you to do so.
- Our support of female entrepreneurs. As a second-time entrepreneur, I love hearing about new businesses and helping women who are getting started. To this end, we will be showcasing new products on our site andblog to help new companies gain exposure. Email me if you have a product to suggest.
- A commitment to responsible and ethical business practices. We treat our employees and vendors fairly and with respect. Honesty and integrity guide our business decisions and interactions.
Milk is available at boutiques worldwide."

Milk Nursingwear was generous enough to send me one of their gorgeous Knotted Nursing Tank Top in teal I was immediately smitten! What I love most about Milk Nursingwear is not only do their clothes look great on (nursing or not!) but the functionality of it is amazing. Simply wear the shirt with your favorite nursing bra and when it comes time to feed your little guy or gal, the front of the top discretely lifts up for you to nurse your child, but not have completely pull up (or down!) the shirt! I was drawn to this shirt because I loved the rich teal color and the elegance of the straps. I couldn't wait to "get it off of the hanger" and try it on!
What I really appreciated about Milk Nursingwears Knotted Nursing Top is that it truly will make nursing easier. To nurse your child you simply lift the empire layer, which will reveal a deep V cut section, and you can easily pull your breast out to feed your child. I love that you don't have to lift the shirt up or pull a strap down to get your breast and what I love the most is that your stomach won't be showing while nursing!
The shirt is made from 94% rayon and 6% lycra so it is extremely soft and very "forgiving". The stomach area is has a flowing fit (unless you are pregnant and wearing it like I am in the picture below!) and the knotted straps give the tank top an extra element of elegance that I really love, especially since the nursing tank top is a solid color. The shirt is very comfortable and from what I can tell will be an absolute breeze to nurse in!
